Families come in all shapes and sizes. Large, small, close, extended, even nuclear. The important thing is that they’re your family, and that’s worth celebrating.
Maybe there’s a significant milestone in your family life. Maybe you don’t all get together that often. Maybe you just want some beautiful pictures of your family. A lifestyle family shoot is the perfect way to celebrate and remember this moment for ever.
I will meet you at a convenient location for your shoot. This could be somewhere special to you – the fields where you played as children or a favourite family walk – or maybe the local beauty spot or country park.
We’ll spend an hour or so taking photos; nothing too posed, just relaxed, fun images. I shoot using natural light as much as possible, to get natural, fresh pictures. You can be yourselves and I’ll capture the essence of your family. Perfect.
Prices
Sessions are priced at £100. For that you’ll get a location shoot lasting up to an hour and a half. Afterwards, I’ll put all your images on a CD, ready for printing. You can print them, post them on websites, email them etc as much as you like. You also get a slideshow on DVD and PC/mobile phone versions of both the individual images and the slideshow.
To book a shoot or ask any questions, please get in touch.

Frequently Asked Questions?
What should I wear?
Keep it simple is my best advice. Wear something you’re comfortable in, something that suits the natural, relaxed style of the images. Solid, bold colours work well, but try to avoid strong patterns and logos. A good tip is to all wear the same or similar colours.
Where do the shoots take place?
I’m open to suggestions. I know some lovely spots around the Leighton Buzzard area, but if you know somewhere better then we’ll go there. If there’s somewhere that’s special to you, that will make your pictures even more special. I like to move around a location, to vary the look and feel of the photos. This also helps stop younger children getting bored.
Do you do studio shoots?
At present, no. To get the kind of pictures I produce, I prefer the more relaxed atmosphere of an al fresco shoot.
What if it rains?
It depends on the type of rain. No, I don’t work for British Rail! What I mean is that we can get some fabulous images when it’s wet. Between showers, the light is often wonderful (to a photographer’s eye), with dramatic skies and glistening fresh foliage. Also, out come colourful umbrellas and wellingtons and children playing in puddles. Depending on the location, there may be some shelter or covered areas we can make use of. Some of the images in the Gallery were taken inbetween very heavy showers (yes, I did get soaked at one point!). Having said that, if it’s really too wet then we will have to reschedule the shoot for another day – there’s no charge for that.
Who can be in the shoot?
The session fee covers up to 6 people. Please enquire about pricing for larger groups. It’s up to you who’s in your photos – friends, family, pets are all welcome!
How long until we get the photos?
It usually takes 2-3 weeks for me to edit your shoot, create your slideshow and transfer everything to CD and DVD.
Are you insured?
Yes.
When do we pay?
The session fee must be paid before or on the day of the shoot. I won’t start editing the shoot until it is paid in full.
